Beam 2 primarily focuses its energy in the mid to low-frequency range, with slightly less presence in the extremely low frequencies. Additionally, the overall convergence speed of the low frequencies is faster, resulting in a clearer and tighter bass performance. The impact and cohesion of the low frequencies can be felt, although it lacks the thickness and sense of awe in immersive film soundtracks. This is less noticeable when using in-ear headphones compared to over-ear headphones. Despite having a higher output power than the Spectra DAC, the actual performance of Beam 2 falls slightly short. Although the volume is sufficient, there are occasional moments of poor control during high dynamics. Nevertheless, compared to regular smartphones, Beam 2 offers a noticeable improvement in audio quality. However, it still lags behind portable players like the Hiby R5, which have more space to support the circuitry and provide a greater level of extension and delicacy in the low frequencies.
