The G Two combines powerful performance with a sleek design, making it an ideal choice for wide frequency range, low coloration, and high sound pressure level reproduction. It features active crossover and optimized independent amplifiers, ensuring smooth transition and minimal distortion between the high and low-frequency drivers, as well as high stability. Each speaker is precisely calibrated, with the high and low-frequency drivers driven by optimized independent amplifiers for uncompromising sound quality.
With its MDE minimum diffraction enclosure, the G Two reduces sound diffraction to a minimum, resulting in pure and colorless sound reproduction with improved imaging and overall resolution. The innovative curved inverted reflex tube design enhances low-frequency performance, reducing turbulence noise and providing clear, powerful, and textured bass.
The DCW (Directivity Control Waveguide) design ensures precise control of sound wave directionality, making the sound wider and reducing room-induced coloration. The speaker also incorporates Genelec's room acoustic response compensation technology, which adapts to various acoustic environments for optimal performance.
The G Two is equipped with multiple protective circuits, including overload protection, amplifier overheat protection, and circuit short protection, ensuring safe and stable operation with an extended lifespan. It also features the ISS (Intelligent Signal Sensing) function, which automatically switches to standby mode when no audio signal is detected and resumes operation when a signal is detected. Its power consumption in standby mode is less than 0.5W.
The speaker is supported by an Iso-Pod isolation stand, which reduces unnecessary vibration transmission, minimizing sound coloration. It also allows flexible adjustment of the speaker's tilt angle to suit the optimal listening position.
The G Two offers a level -10dB switch for adjusting input sensitivity to match with preamp devices for the best sound volume. It also provides tone adjustments through switches on the rear panel. These options include "Desktop Control," "Bass," and "Sub-Bass." "Desktop Control" minimizes the adverse effects caused by sound reflection when the speaker is placed on a desk or similar surface, resulting in reduced coloration. The "Bass" adjustment corrects the low-frequency response below 2kHz, especially when the speaker is placed near a wall or in a bass-heavy environment. The "Sub-Bass" switch activates a -4dB filter at 65Hz to compensate for boosted low-frequency response in that range.
In terms of specifications, the G Two features a 4-inch woofer and a 3/4-inch tweeter with a metal dome and DCW (Directivity Control Waveguide) design. It offers a maximum sound pressure level of 100 dB, a frequency response range of 56 Hz to 21 kHz (-6 dB), and a frequency response accuracy of ± 2.5 dB (62 Hz to 20 kHz). The speaker is powered by a 50W amplifier for both the woofer and tweeter. It has a single RCA input and measures 242mm in height, 151mm in width, and 142mm in depth (including the Iso-Pod isolation stand). The speaker weighs 3.2 kg and is made in Finland.
Each speaker comes with a built-in amplifier and includes a signal cable, a power cord, and an instruction manual. Upon unpacking, position the speakers facing the center of the listening area. If possible, arrange the listening position along the room's central axis to maintain equal distances between each speaker and the side walls.
