I find the sound of Beam 4 to be like a reflective surface, faithfully reproducing the original style of the headphones. However, it is not as cold as a mirror and retains a hint of warmth. The sound is smooth and straightforward, yet not boring.

The price of Beam 4 is equivalent to just one or even half a wire of my recent struggling small system. The wall plug and nucleus machine parts used in this "tail" are actually highly stacked with buffs shared with the small system. When connecting the Roon Arc on my phone to the small tail, I have been constantly impressed. I carefully matched the small system for a while, and the sound direction of Beam 4 is also one of the directions I hoped for: stable, clean, and delicate. Personally, I find the thickness a bit thin, but overall, it is a healthy direction.

When it comes to the combination, I believe it still needs careful consideration. Although it benefits from independent power supply and has excellent vocal performance, it is ultimately not all-powerful. After pairing, I think it is worth trying with a high gain to see how it performs with full-sized headphones. You can try pairing it with an earphone that has slightly better depth and clearer lines.
