PW Audio's understanding and tuning of copper as a material truly impresses me. When I paired the Orpheus Lite with the ES80 multi-balanced armature earphones, I found that the flagship-grade high-resolution capabilities of the armature drivers were in no way compromised. In fact, there was a notable improvement in the overall natural and relaxed presentation. The sound exhibited solid and appropriately defined lines, with exceptional clarity but without any overly sharp edges. While I understand that some enthusiasts have a near-obsessive pursuit of cable materials that can significantly enhance high-frequency brightness, copper does not inherently excel in this aspect. However, PW Audio seems to have the magical ability to weave extraordinary power into copper. It seamlessly combines the superlative rigidity with excellent atmosphere and expression of charm onto a specially woven copper cable, achieving a perfect balance between these two qualities.

Furthermore, the impressive and indelible expansive soundstage of the Shielded version of Orpheus finds a naturally occurring continuation in the Orpheus Lite version. Upon detailed comparison between the two, objectively speaking, the spatial extent of the Orpheus Lite version is slightly less than that of the Shielded version, yet it still manages to reach a level of superiority. Moreover, it's widely known that the Lite version, which optimizes the size and flexibility of the cable body to such an extent, still maintains such high standards, making it hard to be overly critical of this aspect.

From my personal perspective, it depends on the level of low-frequency performance optimization you need for your daily earphone pairing. Do you seek top-tier unrestricted enhancement, or do you frequently use various earphones and change them often? The Shielded version would still secure an unbeatable position if you prioritize the former. However, if you switch earphones often and prefer versatility, the Orpheus Lite version is better suited. It not only has excellent optimization in the low-frequency range but also shows consistent enhancement in the mid and high-frequency ranges, making it more universally applicable. Additionally, your selection should also consider the structure of the earphones you use and the type of music you usually listen to. The Shielded version can deliver an immediate and primal audio rush, causing an instant auditory exhilaration. The Orpheus Lite, on the other hand, takes a more subtle approach, with everything being sufficiently good, but it requires you to gradually experience its nuances in daily listening. Following the exceptional performance of the Shielded version, PW Audio has managed to create a high-level product with excellent shaping optimization in its Lite version, simplifying it, yet demonstrating the potential to become a classic product. The strength demonstrated by PW Audio is truly commendable. Ultimately, whether it's the Shielded version I've been using previously or this new Orpheus Lite version, both are undoubtedly at the top tier of upgrade cables; it's just that you can make choices based on different requirements. Of course, what I'd really like to say is: should an adult need to make choices? Let these cables all belong to you—that's the standard answer.
