OCC NO.1 is a high-quality daily use cable that enhances the original "audirect" cable by 10-15%. We won't delve further into this, so for those interested, please refer to our previous articles. This time, we'll compare three different cable tails based on music tracks.
Ivan Torrent's 01-Human Legacy: When paired with the Beam 3 PLUS (4.4mm balanced), the "T-1" delivers the same volume as the original cable. The first noticeable change is the extended sound lines, creating a darker background that enhances sound clarity. This allows for a clearer depiction of the spreading ripples. As the sound lines extend further into the surroundings, the soundstage width slightly expands, and the energy of each note increases. Moreover, the somewhat hazy sound base is entirely eliminated, resulting in improved clarity, structure, and layers, rendering the overall enhancement distinctly apparent.
We opted to test the KUANG PAI Plus2+ (2.5mm balanced), particularly when seeking a darker and more dynamic sound. Although the precision and sound separation may not match that of the Beam 3 PLUS, I enjoy exploring various music genres, so I prefer to adjust my sound preferences. Upgrading the KUANG PAI Plus2+ with the "T-1" provided the previously mentioned additional detail, improved smoothness, and extended the vocals to the end of each note, imparting a sense of fluidity. The previously overpowering low frequencies seemed to converge and descend, unveiling previously concealed small musical elements and enhancing overall resolution. The upper register now possesses more air and depth, bestowing a more melodious sound to brass instruments. I'm appreciative of my initial choice of the KUANG PAI Plus2+ due to its exceptional sound quality.
The iKKO ITM02 (3.5mm stereo) that I recently acquired offers a simple, natural, and pleasant sound with abundant overtones. Its main strengths lie in its aesthetics and power. The included white cable is serviceable, especially considering its affordability and the provision of two cables. However, to unleash its full potential, upgrading to the OCC NO.1 cable is necessary to eliminate the thin sound, maintain the softness, and address the loose sensation, resulting in a clearer soundstage while emphasizing its softness. When paired with the "T-1," the background becomes darker, defining the sound with even more positive attributes. The soundstage expands, presenting a cleaner and more transparent profile, featuring a potent aura unobscured by low frequencies, making it a matter of personal preference. Highly recommended!
Ado & Usseewa: The "T-1" has the potential to significantly alter the sound field presentation. While it can enhance track resolution, the overall arrangement and foundation of the songs remain similar to ACG and OCC NO.1. As a result, individuals who typically listen to ACG should consider visiting a physical store for a trial before making a purchasing decision. If you're still using the original white cable with your iKKO ITM02, we highly recommend trying out the "T-1". For KUANG PAI Plus2+ enthusiasts, it's worth giving it a shot for a subtle upgrade, but whether or not to invest ultimately depends on personal preference.
EXID - FIRE: The impact of the "T-1" enhancement becomes more pronounced when the arrangement is more intricate. In addition to the previously mentioned enhancements, the notes swirl and intertwine, accompanied by the emergence of various accompaniments beyond just rhythm beats, resulting in a three-dimensional spatial audio experience. This presents a completely distinct sonic landscape. For fans of Korean pop music, we encourage you to give it a try and delve into this unique pathway that has the potential to transform everything!
The verdict is clear: This cable is a must-buy! Don't wait—get it now!! (enthusiastic) [I've never write such a concise conclusion!]
