Tralucent, founded in 2010 by Gavin Chiu, a British-Chinese entrepreneur, is a professional headphone manufacturer. The name Tralucent in ancient Roman means "translucent," symbolizing its ability to allow sound to pass through seamlessly, maintaining the highest audio quality and creating an immersive experience. The company focuses on revolutionizing products through innovative technology, adhering to principles of acoustics and ergonomics. They provide users with the most professional music headphones, different from the typical hearing aid principles found in the market, incorporating speaker design concepts into headphone design.
The Tralucent 1+1.2 does not require eartips, which sets it apart from regular headphones. It incorporates the concept of custom-made headphones, allowing users to experience the benefits of custom-made headphones without the wait time for individual production. This design is more suitable for long-term use, reducing discomfort and providing users with a more comfortable music experience.
The silicone eartips are designed ergonomically to directly transmit sound to the ear canal, while avoiding discomfort from wearing headphones for a long period of time. Based on data analysis of ear cavity sizes, two different sizes of molds were created, divided into black and white colors. The black color is for larger ear cavities, while the white color is suitable for smaller ear cavities.
The overall design of the headphones utilizes a three-unit hybrid design, with one American-imported unit responsible for mid to high frequencies and a German-made bioelectric vibrating diaphragm for the low-frequency portion.
The selected military-grade crossover circuit employs a two-stage LC complete crossover, in which the L-shaped cutting circuit removes excess output at specific frequencies and uses another unit for transition, eliminating problems caused by damping-based traditional crossover methods and eliminating phase differences.
The Uni-Q coaxial design places the speaker in the headphones using a coaxial design method to avoid phase differences. The sound is transmitted to the ear without any conduits, eliminating distortion that may occur during the process.
Tralucent IEM are 100% handmade and undergo individual pairing construction, followed by data comparison to ensure quality control, and the final frequency at the time of shipment is recorded for after-sales service. Its design and appearance help prevent the occurrence of the occlusion effect and have strong noise reduction capabilities.
