PW Audio Orpheus Shielding

After years of research and development, PW Audio has broken through many technical limitations to bring the best music experience to all users.

Orpheus was a Greek god with great musical talent. He played the lyre very well. The sound of his harp could even move Hades, the king of the underworld.

This new flagship is named Orpheus, and it once again amazes everyone with its music quality. Peter Wong, the founder of PW Audio, spent many years researching and came to the conclusion that when the number of wire cores is equal, a wire with an insulator will produce better sound in terms of analysis power, sound field, and high frequency performance. In order to further improve sound details, Peter tested how different materials affected the wire and found that enamelled wires produced better sound than non-enamelled wires. After many attempts, he finally grasped the difference between multi-layer enamelling and single-layer enamelling, and achieved the wire body structure of Orpheus.

PW Audio is most well-known for its copper wires. The founder Peter Wong excels in using different processing methods to create ever-changing sounds. "Copper" is the most basic conductive material for earphone cables. To make each product have a unique personality, more time and effort must be put into research and development. By continuously increasing the surface area of the copper wire, the speed of electrons traveling on the surface becomes smoother, increasing density and detail while reducing interference
Independently insulated & enameledOrpheus has seven sets of wire cores in each strand, each set of cores is covered with an independent insulator and multi-layer enameled, and finally TRP insulation is added to the outermost layer of each strand of wire. This allows for electrons to pass through each core wire without interacting or interfering with other signals. As a result, the sound background is darker and the sound field is wider.

Sound Performance

Orpheus has a natural and transparent sound. Every slight vibration is reflected faithfully, the high frequency is silky smooth, and even the ultra-high frequency can handle it with ease. Compared to The 1960s, the sound is more imposing; compared to The 1950s, the soundstage is wider.
